Éléphant: The memory of Québec cinema invited to the Lumière Film Festival in Lyon

Quebecor and Éléphant: The memory of Québec cinema are pleased to announce that the Québec film Les bons débarras (1980), directed by Francis Mankiewiczand written by the distinguished author Réjean Ducharme, will be shown at the Lumière Film Festival in Lyon in the Splendors of Restoration section, a hand-picked selection of 10 digitized and restored films from the world’s cinematic heritage. Les bons débarras, restored and digitized in HD by Éléphant: The memory of Québec cinema, will be screened along with films such as Jamaica Inn by Alfred Hitchcockand A Special Day Ettore Scola. The Québec film’s inclusion in such distinguished company attests to Éléphant’s expertise and growing recognition in the field of film preservation.
