For the ninth consecutive year: Quebecor presents 26th annual Montréal Museums Day

10 mai 2012

Montréal, May 10, 2012 ─ For the ninth year in a row, Quebecor proudly presents Montréal Museums Day. The 26th edition of the annual open house, the only event of its kind in Canada, will be held on May 27, 2012. Montréal Museums Dayis organized by the Board of Montréal Museum Directors (BMMD), whose primary mission is to hold activities and events that bring culture to a wider audience and encourage the public to take ownership of its museums.

Once again, all of Quebecor’s subsidiaries will be harnessed to promote the event and support its success. A large-scale publicity campaign will be conducted on all their platforms.

“This is a natural partnership for us since providing access to arts and culture is a large part of what we do,” said Pierre Karl Péladeau, President and CEO of Quebecor. “We take every opportunity to support the dissemination of the arts. I hope that our backing will help Montréal Museums Day draw even larger crowds in its 26th year and encourage new audiences to visit all our museums regularly year-round.”

Quebecor is also supporting another effort to increase museum visits by conducting a multimedia campaign to promote Montréal Museums Passes, which provide economical access to Montréal’s 38 museums.
