J. Serge Sasseville

J. Serge Sasseville has been Senior Vice President, Corporate and Institutional Affairs of Quebecor since 2008. He is responsible for, among other things, regulatory affairs, governmental affairs and industry relations.

Since joining Quebecor in 1987, he has served in many legal and managerial capacities, including Director of Legal Services of Quebecor and Corporate Secretary of Quebecor Communications; Vice President, Legal Affairs, Corporate Secretary and Assistant to the President of Archambault Group; founder and General Manager of the archambault.cae-commerce site; Vice President, Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary of Videotron and Canoe; and President, Archambault Group Music Division.

J. Serge Sasseville is a member of the Canada Media Fund’s Funders Group. He is a member of the executive committee and vice chairman of the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association (CWTA) and vice chairman of CPAC, the cable public affairs channel. He is also a member of the board and of the executive committee of the Conseil du patronat du Québec, of the advisory committees of the Institut du Québec (a partnership between HEC Montréal and the Conference Board of Canada) and Library and Archives Canada, and of the boards of the Quebecor Fund, the Banff World Media Festival, the National Arts Centre Foundation, and the Fondation Lafontaine-Cormier. He is chairman of Angèle Dubeau & La Pietà and served for 10 years on the board of Musicaction and on SODEC’s recordings and concerts committee.

J. Serge Sasseville was called to the Québec bar in 1981. Prior to joining Quebecor, he practised law as a litigator with Stein, Monast in Québec City from 1981 to 1987.
