Jacques-Hervé Roubert

Jacques-Hervé Roubert was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Nurun, a Quebecor Media company specializing in interactive communications and technology services, in September 2000. With offices in Canada, the US, Europe and China, Nurun represents many prestigious international brands, including L'Oréal, Groupe DANONE, Club Med, Louis Vuitton, Renault, and Cingular Wireless, as well as public organizations such as the Government of Québec, the State of Oklahoma and the State of Georgia.
With more than thirty years of experience in advertising strategy, branding and marketing, Mr. Roubert has a track record of building close, long-lasting relationships with leading food, consumer goods and retail companies.
In December 1995, to help major brands make the transition from the offline to the online world, Mr. Roubert founded Cythère, a pioneering interactive communications agency which designed award-winning Websites for global companies such as Groupe DANONE, L'Oréal, Club Méditerranée, Bouygues, FNAC, Ricard, and many more.
To expand his agency's international reach, Mr. Roubert sold Cythère in January 2000 to Informission, a Quebecor subsidiary which later became Nurun Inc.
Mr. Roubert graduated from ESSEC (École Supérieure des Sciences Économiques et Commerciales), Europe's largest management school.
He joined Havas Conseil, a subsidiary of leading French publishing and multimedia firm Havas, in 1977 and was subsequently named a partner in the company. From 1986 to 1988, Mr. Roubert held the position of Director of Development for the Paris division of the internationally known advertising group Young & Rubicam. From 1988 to 1990, he was General Manager of BDDP (Boulet, Dru, Dupuy, Petit), a communications and advertising consulting agency. Thereafter, until 1995, Mr. Roubert held the position of General Manager of Groupe France Young & Rubicam.
