Agreement with union in Western Québec: Videotron agrees on renewal of collective agreement with approximately 2,800 unionized employees

Videotron management is pleased to announce that its unionized employees have ratified the agreement in principle reached during the winter by the employer and representatives of SEVL 2815, affiliated with the Canadian Union of Public Employees. The agreement renews the collective agreement of the approximately 2,800 employees in Western Québec until 2018 and affords the two parties still greater flexibility in work organization. This agreement ensures excellent working conditions for our employees, in line with our determination to constantly enhance our services and remain the most respected telecommunications provider in Québec.

This is excellent news. It reflects the two parties’ shared desire to continue growing the company. This agreement also demonstrates the determination of our leading ambassadors – our customer-driven employees – to maintain our status as the telecommunications provider with the highest customer satisfaction rating. The negotiations were conducted in an atmosphere of open-mindedness, understanding of the realities and issues, and mutual respect. The operational flexibility this agreement brings us will enable us to focus on forward-looking projects such as launching innovative products and services and developing our unique entertainment offering.
