In 2003, Videotron successfully rolled out its Video on Demand (VoD) service, capitalizing on its network's two-way capabilities. VoD is now available to more than 90% of households in Videotron's service area. The interactive service gives customers access to hundreds of films and special events, in the comfort of their homes, at the time of their choosing. Videotron was the first company in Québec to offer the service on a wide scale. VoD sets illico^TM apart from the competition and its burgeoning popularity has been a factor in illico's growth. In 2006, more than 20 million paid and free orders were placed on illico on demand.
