Three years after Quebecor announced a $15 million donation to the Fondation du Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM), the Pierre Péladeau auditorium was officially opened on June 10. Named in honour of our founder, the educational facility embodies the humanistic vision and cultural and social values that were his legacy to his family and his business.
The Québec business titan’s family members were on hand to celebrate the completion of the first building to be named for their father and grandfather since his passing.
At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Pierre Péladeau’s son Pierre Karl Péladeau, President and CEO of Quebecor, and Marc Tremblay, Chair of the Board of the Fondation du CHUM, spoke of the important responsibility businesses have to contribute to our collective well-being and support not only economic growth but our social and cultural development as well.
Together, we can cultivate our garden of possibilities.
