A feminine touch at the Festival de la chanson de Tadoussac
In its third year as the presenting partner of the Festival de la chanson de Tadoussac, Quebecor had a big presence at the music festival dedicated to Québec song. Once again, we delighted festivalgoers with two all-female surprise concerts.
Québec artists Ariane Moffatt and Beyries both gave intimate concerts in unusual venues. Alone at the piano, Ariane Moffatt wowed spectators with an emotional performance at the Le Gibard coffeehouse. Beyries was at the top of her form at the Centre d’interprétation des mammifères marins de Tadoussac (marine mammal interpretation centre), where she performed a repertory of French songs and charmed the audience with her laid-back humour.
The Festival de la chanson de Tadoussac has been a local tradition for 36 years. The unique song fest is a unifying family event, very much in the image of Tadoussac. It is a privilege and an honour for us to support this celebration of the French language and showcase for Québec artists.
