Longstanding partnership with the Théâtre du Rideau Vert

Update

On May 14, a benefit for the Théâtre du Rideau Vert, Canada’s first professional French-language theatre, was held at The Parquet in the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec building. Pierre Karl Péladeau was the honorary chairman of the fundraising drive and Quebecor has been a major partner of the Rideau Vert for the past 12 years.

Some 450 members of the arts and business communities attended the benefit, organized as a tribute to Michel Tremblay on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his play Les Belles-Sœurs, which opened at the Rideau Vert in 1968. Everyone who lived through that period will remember the enormous impact the play had in Québec at the time.

The proceeds will help make it possible for Denise Filiatrault and Céline Marcotte to continue treating us to marvelous theatre for many years to come.
