Almost 350 members of the arts and business communities gathered to honour actor Andrée Lachapelle and singer Patsy Gallant at the 6th Quebecor Tribute Evening. Both received the Quebecor Prize, accompanied by a $50,000 purse.
Andrée Lachapelle and Patsy Gallant are two grande dames of Québec’s arts scene driven by towering talent, fiery passion and an uncompromising work ethic. Each has left her mark on our cultural landscape, in her own way.
At the event, their life’s work was honoured with artistic performances of all kinds.
Over the years, the Quebecor Prize has been awarded to many Québec cultural figures, including André Brassard, Renée Claude, Marcel Dubé, Claude Gauthier, Raymond Lévesque, Monique Leyrac, Janine Sutto, Armand Vaillancourt and Gilles Vigneault.
